Tyson walks on water
Out at my parents house, the frog pond is always a huge hit with my kids. Now that it's frozen, Tyson even loves it more. Papa tested it by throwing a big rock at it & trying to crack it with a big stick and it's pretty solid.
We were out there yesterday, before Lilly's kindergarten performance, & Tyson just had to show me how he could walk on water.

3-legged deer
I still can't believe this doe is hobbling around. A few months back, shegot her leg caught in the cattle guard. The guys saw her free herself and assumed she'd go off & die. Not so....she had the will to live with just the use of three legs. She's a bit slow, but she's doing alright.

Thank you Siskiyou Family YMCA
I'm so grateful to the people from the YMCA who took these fabulous pictures of Lilly. Much better than I did. Thank you thank you thank you!!
Chloe, Rachel, Stella & Lilly -- saying their lines as the Doras
Don't you just love her little belly?? Reminds me of my sister, Kath's when she was little. :)
Good job, Lilly!!

Who doesn't love rice??
The little guy is now 4mo old and has been checking out our food for about a week now. He's been trying to grab it and seriously watches us, so I decided to give him his first try at rice cereal today. I mixed it with a bit of formula and he did really well. Most of it stayed in his mouth and he probably swallowed about 4-5 little spoonfuls.
It's hard to open wide
I guess this means he likes it. What a happy baby I have! I am so lucky.

Diaper dilemma
For the past 4 nights, Levi has woken up wet and leaking everywhere and he's even leaked during the day. I think it may be the just the brand of diaper I'm using, rather than the size. I still have tons of the Kirkland 1-2 size, so it looks like I'll need to find someone to pass them on to. I had bought one package of the Pampers #2s and those are the ones he's leaking out of after a good 6hr or more stretch. I was using those at night since I figured they'd hold more, being a bigger diaper. Now, do I put him into a Kirkland #3 (which are for babies 18lbs or more) size or try a new brand? If I try a new brand, what kind should I get?? I hate to spend $$ on a package of diapers that wouldn't work.
I think Levi is around 14lbs, but I'll find out for sure at his next appointment on the 19th. It seems weird to me that he'd already be in a #3 at 4mo old, especially since he's not all that big, but maybe not. I can't remember at what age my other two were in that size of diaper...it's been too long for me to remember. The only thing I do remember is that they were in a #3 for quite awhile as well as the #4. Any suggestions??

Holiday parade
Saturday tonight, after Thanksgiving, our small town always does a Holiday parade. Last year both of my kids were in it and again this year. This year was the first year they did it at night and it looked great with all the christmas lights. There as such a great turnout too.
Lilly was on the dance float and Tyson on the soccer float. Super super cute!!
I didn't get a picture of Tyson, but luckily the local newspaper did. He ended up on the front page. Gotta love small towns!! He's in the red "Santa" hat.

Dance dance dance
Once again, Lilly wanted to be in dance. This time she chose two classes...tap & jazz. So, for the big performance, she was in four dances, rather than two. It was a very long weekend, but she did so so good.
At practice, in her tap chef costume
One of the performances
As Dora (far right)...she even had a speaking role in the play. So cute!!

These were taken with my phone, so they're a bit blurry. We had the video camera out & Levi on our laps, so I was lucky to even get these ones.

A weekend in Bend
The weekend after Tyson's ankle injury, we were heading out of town to Bend, OR....one of our most favorite spots. We had some things planned, but had to change since Tyson was injured....ie: the bounce house. :( We drove up a new way and had fun driving through lots & lots of snow.
Dinner at this awesome Flatbread Pizza restaurant. The kids really enjoyed it and Tyson even got to make his own pizza.
We found a yummy bakery to get homemade donuts. They love sprinkles!!
I took the older kiddos to see "Happy Feet Two" while Ted & Levi drove around and then rested back at the motel.
Happy boy heading home.

1st major injury in 7years
A couple weeks ago, I'm waiting outside the school with Lilly & Levi, ready to pick up Tyson and I see him hobbling out. A bit later, I see his teacher pick him up on her back and start to carry him out. I ran over and grabbed him up, so she wouldn't have to carry him. Apparently he was playing tag and jumped down from the rings and landed on one foot, which rolled his ankle. It didn't look swollen at the time until later, at Lilly's dance practice. He couldn't put any weight on it and so after dance, I took him to the walk-in clinic in town. They took x-rays, which he thought was the coolest thing, just to be safe and luckily, it was just a sprain.
He was given a brace and with that, he was able to put a bit of weight on it, instead of me carrying him around. Thank goodness!!
